Mayall, John

As a performer and bandleader, as well as an astute nurturer of nascent musical talent, vocalist/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist John Mayall was a key figure of the British blues revival of the 1960s. Mayall's prolific musical output was d'stinguished by his impassioned performances and distinctive songwriting persona, and by his uncanny knack for putting together prodigiously talented bands whose members often went on to star status on their own. Among Mayall's most beloved and influential vintage releases are Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton, A Hard Road and Crusade, which capture the electric-blues innovator at the height of his musical powers while showcasing his legendary all-star band the Bluesbreakers.
