The Strawberry Alarm Clock's unique sound–full of beautiful, day-glo pop surrounding jagged, fuzzy guitars and organs, among other garage-rock influences–is explored through a number of dreamlike gems contained in these four volumes, all presented as originally issued!

The Strawberry Alarm Clock made musical history with its first single, the infectious, psychedelic "Incense and Peppermints," which topped the national singles charts in December 1967 and remains one of the Aquarian Age's most enduring anthems. But, as the California combo's debut LP demonstrates, there was a lot more to the Strawberry Alarm Clock than their iconic trademark hit.

Like its namesake hit, Incense and Peppermints combines catchy melodic flights with an edgy progressive sensibility that manifests itself in the trippy soundscapes, sophisticated harmonies and evocative lyrics of such memorable tracks as "The World's on Fire," "Birds in My Tree," "Rainy Day Mushroom Pillow" and "Paxton's Back Street Carnival." The result is a surprise-filled collection that All Music Guide called "one of the more delightful artifacts of the psychedelic era, a strangely compelling mix of psychedelia, sunshine pop, garage rock, and California harmony."

Their smash "Incense and Peppermints," which reached #1 in late 1967 and remained in the Billboard pop chart for 16 weeks, is included on The Best of Strawberry Alarm Clock, and Wake Up...It's Tomorrow and The World In A Sea Shell contain fan favorites (and '60s psych gold) like "Love Me Again," "Sea Shell," "Barefoot in Baltimore," "Sit With the Guru," and many more–all mastered from the stereo UNI reels!
