Vibraphone legend Cal Tjader’s fusion of different genres and styles was an acute influence on Carlos Santana (and Latin rock as a whole). Known as the most famous non-Latino Latin-Jazz musician! While he primarily played the vibes, he was a master of most flavors of percussion and piano as well. He’s seen as one of the innovators in the development of Latin rock and acid jazz.
